On February 19 Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker delivered his State of the State address. Appropriately, most of it was focused on Illinois issues, but he reserved his final comments for the state of our country and the perils we face moving forward.

We are now four months further down the dangerous path Pritzker described and things are turning more dire with every Trump power grab and his every attack on our Constitution. That makes Pritzker’s warning yet more important and urgent.

As of this writing there are over 1,800 of them, all for people across the nation who won’t tolerate Trump’s reign of scams, cruelties, corruption and the destruction of our Constitution he hopes will lead to his dictatorship and make him Orange King Donald I.

So, show up on June 14 to demonstrate who we really are, what we stand for and what we won’t stand for.

And pass this message to others. This existential battle needs all of us – and we need this battle in order to restore our country.

    Thank you for this timely and on point post. It says exactly what our people need to know. And a big Thank You to Illinois governor J. B. Pritsker. His summation was spectacularly right on! The biggest thank you goes to the American people who I believe will be demonstrating Saturday and throughout the next 1-1/2 years through the mid-term elections.

    I’m participating in the demonstrations and a few of the petitions, but I feel like we need to be planning a more direct action for the future…non violent but effective resistance. Demonstrations that block or limit the MAGA agenda… Income tax strikes. Protests that block his route to a city center. Protests that entrap his airplane on the tarmac. Public gatherings to anoint new statues of Trump (such as, Trump as a horse’s ass, Bonespurs running from the draft), raising funds by charging protesters to pelt the statues with eggs, etc.
